Personal aspects

If you were to write your autobiography, what would the title be?

Expect the unexpected ... The best experiences, dilemmas and twists and turns in my life were unplanned and unexpected.

What does your desk normally look like?

I do not have a classic desk. I work on my laptop wherever the occasion takes me - at the living room table, on the couch, in the co-working space, on an aircraft fold-down table or in the large compartment of a train on Deutsche Bahn. What's always there: paper, pencil and glasses.

What role models do you have?

Michelle Obama - a smart, elegant, feminine yet engaging and approachable style icon.

What has been your greatest adventure in life?

Three months in the jungle of the National Park Pacaya Samiria in Peru, living without electricity and running water. This included bathing and washing with piranhas, sleeping with cockroaches – and shared toilet with tarantulas and snakes.

What talent would you like to have?

SINGING!

What profession would you like to try out?

Emergency doctor - I have the greatest respect for the conditions in which emergency physicians work: They encounter unclear conditions at any time of day and have to make life-saving decisions in no time at all. They have to act systematically and thoughtfully under enormous time pressure. I can hardly imagine how they do it...

Who is your favourite figure from literature?

Puck, in William Shakespeare's comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream, is a wily ghost traveling around the world at night with the fairies.

What specialist book captured your imagination recently?

Joy Inc. - a passionate, graphic and real example of how a business can be purpose-driven, egalitarian, appreciative and inclusive.
